Experience yoga and mindfulness in a tranquil and serene setting: join instructors Kelly and Julie for a series of yoga classes this fall at SummitWynds lavender farm. Set up your mat among the lavender and take in the crisp autumn air and beautiful views of Mt Wachusett. Enjoy the peaceful farm setting while setting your intention and creating calm in your body and your mind among fragrant lavender plants! We will practice an hour of gentle flowing all-levels yoga followed by a meditation or mindfulness practice. Enjoy the farm scenery or the lavender labyrinth after class.
Registration is available online here and advanced sign up is highly encouraged! Please bring a yoga mat and several layers, socks, or a blanket to be comfortable for the end of the class and the meditation portion of our practice.
*Addition for lavender days:
We will have classes every day during Lavender Days over Columbus Day weekend (Saturday through Monday) with discounted admission to the event when combined with yoga! Enjoy a morning of calm and peace then stay for the day exploring events, vendors, and lavender workshops. Yoga will start at 10 am during Lavender Days.
About the Instructors:
Kelly and Julie are regular teachers at Hot Power Yoga Center in Worcester. Kelly has been teaching various styles of yoga and guided meditations since 2011. She works full time as a physical therapist and holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She loves to combine movement and mindfulness in her yoga classes and in PT practice. Julie practiced yoga for 8 years before becoming a certified instructor through Hot Power Yoga Center in 2016. She is a grade 8 science and world history teacher in Dudley and tries to incorporate her knowledge of yoga science and social studies into all of her classes. She loves to make connections across all disciplines on and off the mat and finds yoga allows her the ability to slow down and be her best self.
